Course Information:

Coast and Hills
This is the most beautiful womens ride in the country!

Both intermediate and seasoned cyclists will enjoy this scenic combination of meandering coastline and hills. Departing together from Canyon Crest Academy(high school), riders will wind along historic 101 through beach towns of  Solana Beach, Leucadia, and Cardiff-By-the-Sea to the turnaround point at Magee Park in Carlsbad. The 42 mile coast route is designed with beauty and simplicity in mind, but there are some sustained hills for 1400' feet of climbing, so be sure to train accordingly.

The 66 mile course is unique in that more experienced riders can enjoy the company of their friends participating in the 40 mile route until about mile 25 where the long course riders turn inland and face 2800' feet of climbing in the rugged and picturesque San Diego hills.

From Canyon Crest Academy, 42 & 66 mile course riders will travel North along 18 miles of historic Highway 101 to the turnaround point and Rest Stop #1 in Carlsbad at Magee Park. All riders will then travel South back along Historic 101. Short course (42 mile) riders will continue their tour along the coast back to the finish at Canyon Crest Academy. Long course riders will leave Historic 101 approximately 25 miles into the ride, turning inland at La Costa for a challenging yet rewardingly beautiful climb through the hills near Escondito before returning back to the finish at Canyon Crest Academy.
