2013 Big Johnson Duathlon:
- Welcome to the first annual Big Johnson Duathlon!
- We are thrilled to be hosting this inaugural event and we welcome both experienced and new racers to Johnson Park.
- Our course is designed to present athletes with a very challenging end of season event, while offering them the opportunity to experience a very beautiful course with the Autumn colors of West Michigan.
- It is perfect for the first time sprint duathlete and very competitive for those more experienced racers.
Course Information:
- The first run course is through two beautiful parks in Kent County: Johnson Park and Millennium Park.
- The first run course will offer an extremely challenging run via the Johnson Park scenic drive. It will definitely get your heart pumping for the bike!
- The bike course heads west towards GVSU on Maynard Rd. offering nice rolling hills.
- The second run course will head out from Johnson Park towards Millennium Park and run around the lakes of Millennium Park and back towards Johnson Park with the last two miles truly testing your level of fitness!
