This race is open to the public and everyone is welcome to register. First-time triathletes are encouraged. If you dont want to complete the race solo, then put together a relay team!
This events is managed and organized by volunteers to raise money for scholarships. Good Times Races will be our timing company.
Cost: Individual-$40; Students and Military-$25; Team-$68 total cost (All proceeds from the Tiger Tri will be donated in the form of scholarship money for students to attend Wittenberg University!)
Prizes: Each participant will receive a finishers shirt. Prizes will go to the top 3 overall male and female finishers, the overall winning team, and the fastest male and female alumni. We even pay the top 3 fastest males and females overall!!
Course Information:
1/4 mile swim, 15 mile bike ride, 3.6 mile run.
Start Location: Wittenberg University Natatorium on Bill Edwards Drive in Springfield, Ohio
Course Description: The race starts at 10:30 a.m. with a 1/4 mile pool swim in the Wittenberg Health, Physical Education & Recreation Building (HPERC) on Bill Edwards Drive. It will be individual starts with a serpentine-style swim down-and-back in every lane. Bicycling goes on the bike path to the Buck Creek State Park area and back. One aid station will be near the HPERC building and the second one will be at the bike turnaround in the park. The triathlon finishes with a 3.6 mile run (2 laps) around Wittenbergs campus.

Directions from the East on I-70: Take Exit 62 onto OH-40 (West) toward Springfield. Follow
OH-40/41 into the downtown area. Turn right at North Fountain Avenue. You will pass the main entrance
to campus on the left. Turn left at Bill Edwards Drive. After a stop sign, the front entrance of the HPER
Center is at the top of the hill.
Directions from the West on I-70: Take Exit 52B onto US-68 (North) toward Springfield. Take the
OH-41 exit toward Springfield/Troy. From the ramp, turn right onto OH-41. When the road dead ends,
turn right onto St. Paris Pike. St. Paris Pike becomes West McCreight Avenue. In about a half mile,
Edwards-Maurer Field will be visible on the right. Take the first right past the field onto Woodlawn
Avenue. Turn right onto Bill Edwards Drive. The front entrance of the HPER Center is at the top of the
hill.
