The First annual Whisper Walk & 5K Run at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg on September 22, 2013 to raise awareness about the Whispering Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer and support research for the development of a diagnostic test. Participate for your mom, sister, wife, cousin, best friend, and for all women because ovarian cancer in the 4th leading cause of death in women.
Run the 5K thorough the surrounding neighborhood; walk the 2 mile path through McKee Farms Park; bring your dog along for the Whisper Wag Dog walk; Play and race in the Rascal Romp Kids Activity area featuring face-painting, cupcake decorating and a bouncy house. You can even participate through the Virtual Whisper Walk via YouTube!
Awards will be given to the winners of the 5K chip-Timed Run! Top overall Male and Female finisher as determined by gun time, and Top 3 overall male and female finishers in each age division: 9-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
