About the Event:
The IronKids Louisville Swim and Run presented by Kosair Children's Hospital will be the first IronKids event to offer an aquathon. Atheltes will swim in a 50 meter pool, followed by a run around E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park.
Location:
The event will be held at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park.

Age Groups:
Athletes between the ages of 6 and 17 are invited to participate in the great event!
Registration:
You can register online at www.IronKids.com or www.Active.com
Course:
The Swim Portion will take place in a 50 meter pool. Athletes will "snake" swim through the lanes and then exit the pool toward the transition area. The run will take place on trails throughout the park and will end at the IronKids Finish Line!
6-9 years old: 50 meter swim, 1 mile run
10-13 years old: 150 meter swim, 1.5 mile run
14-17 years old: 300 meter swim, 2 mile run
Cost:
The cost to enter the IronKids Louisville Swim and Run presented by Kosair Childrens Hospital is $20.
Each athlete is required to be an active member of USAT. A one day license is $10 and an one year membership is $15. This can be purchased on site or online ahead of time.
Each athlete will receive an IronKids race bib, an IronKids finishers medal, post race refreshments and the pride of calling themselves an IronKid!

The mission of IronKids is to inspire and motivate youth through the sport to lead an active, positive, and healthy lifestyle. The 2013 IronKids National Series and the Hy-Vee IronKids Midwest Series presented by Dole, targeting youth between the ages of 6-15, will provide an interactive weekend experience for the entire family that will not only showcase the nations top youth talent, but also will allow first-time athletes to experience a positive introduction to the realm of multisport. Children will compete in age-appropriate distances with an emphasis on fitness, fun and safety.
