Tonka Mud Run is your family friendly mud run to fight hunger. On August 24th, we are going to have two races at the beautiful Minnetonka Regional Park to support Kids Against Hunger-West Metro.
The Tonka Mud Run is a little over a 5k. You can run the entire course and take a timed finish or you can opt to run a portion of the course and take a JHF (just have fun) finish. Our obstacles are family friendly and rate higher on the fun scale and lower on the risk scale.
For our mini mudders, we have the Mini-Tonka Mud Run. It is only about 1/4 mile with obstacles appropriate for your little one. The Fire Department will be on hand to give safety demonstrations to kids.
If you wish to pay by check, please visit our website www.tonkamudrun4.kidsagainsthungerwm.org to download the forms and submit manually.
Bring the family and enjoy a day of fun and exercise that helps a good cause too!
The full course is 3.6 miles with shorter options for our just have fun runners. The full course goes around the hilly, grassy, Prairie Loop trail. It continues past the main pavilion and down the bike trail to the beach. Here you choose to go either through the water and across the beach or across the entire beach. From the beach, you go down the hard packed grassy Cattail Trail. You finish by running down to the old boat ramp and back to the main pavilion for the finish line.
