2013 Sharon's Ride/Run/Swim Triathlon & Walk For Epilepsy:
- Sharon's Ride/Run/Swim Triathlon & Walk For Epilepsy is an event that will be held on
- Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville. The event
- has a 750 yard swim, 18 Mile Bike Ride and a 5K run. In addition to being a triathlon,
- the day is filled with family fun, such as; face painting, helmet safety/education,
- bluegrass band, and much more for everyone to enjoy! The event benefits the
- Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois and the people/families with
- epilepsy it serves.
Course Information:
The event begins with a 300 yard swim (chip timing included), followed by an
20 mile bike ride throughout the beautiful trails of Southern Illinois, and followed
by a 5K run throughout the same beautiful trails and landscape.
Directions:
Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville is located in Madison County Illinois, and
registration begins at Lot F near the student fitness center Parking lot.
Other Info:
The event will include refreshments, lunch& dessert, goody bags, t-shirts,medals
and awards, attendance prizes, prizes for 1st -4th place, free helmets, and much more,
all for $20.00 per person, and benefiting those with epilepsy.

Previous Results:
The event has been held in the past, but this is the first year that a triathlon will
be held, and swimming will be incorporated.
