The Rose Run was started in 2009 by the family of Rose Marie Hunt. Rose
lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 54, and since then, her
hometown and strangers across the country have come together to raise
over $50,000 in her name for various charities and non-profits
including, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, The University of
Michigan Cancer Center and The Petersburg/Summerfield volunteer fire
The Rose Run kicks off The Annual Community Day in Petersburg every year, held on the third Saturday in July!
This course is a great one to PR on! It's a flat course through the small town of Petersburg...there's plenty of room for hundreds of people. There is one water stop on course.
Petersburg is a One Stop Light town...there is no missing this!
