Description:

2010 Callaway Gardens Triathlon:

  • The oldest ongoing triathlon in the continental USA. 30th annual at the beautiful Callaway Gardens Resort in Pine Mountain, GA.
  • This very popular event takes place during the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival and Classic Car show held each Labor Day weekend at Callaway Gardens.
    • Course Info: 2010 Callaway Gardens Triathlon: - (1K swim - 30K bike - 8K run)
  • The swim is horsehoe shaped in pristine Robin lake.
  • The bike is two (2) loops throughout the Callaway Gardens resort.
  • The run is mostly flat with a few rollers thrown in for good measure.  A VERY fast course.
    • Directions: Pine Mountain, GA:
  • Pine Mountain is in western Georgia
  • 71 miles southwest of Atlanta Georgia
  • 30 miles north of Columbus Georgia
  • 44 miles northeast of Auburn Alabama

    From Atlanta:
  • Take I-85 south to I-185.
  • Take I-185 south to exit 42 (Hwy 27).
  • Go left on Hwy 27 eleven (11) miles to Pine Mountain.
  • Go one (1) mile past Pine Mountain on Hwy 27 to Callaway Gardens on your right.
