The 25th Annual Rotary Pineapple Man Triathlon will be the Silver Anniversary of one of the oldest triathlon sprint events in Florida. Hosted by the Melbourne Beach Rotary Club as a fund raiser for charities which include Polio Plus, Leukemia-Lymphoma Society and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Swim from the historic Melbourne Beach Pier in the Indian River Lagoon. Run through peaceful beachside neighborhoods. And, bike one of the best bike courses in Florida 15 miles on A1A, beside nature preserves, parks, and the beach.
The 15 mile bike course begins as participants exit the east end of the transition area and proceed through the neighboring residential area to a long, straight, flat, and fast out and back segment south on A1A along ocean-side parks, nature preserves and the beach.
Riders will u-turn (police supervised) at the southern end point and retrace the course north returning to the Ryckman Park transition area.
DIRECTIONS TO RACE: Melbourne Beach is in eastern Florida, 85 miles south of Daytona Beach, and 68 miles southeast of Orlando
