Come enjoy the fall weather at Cane Creek State Park's first Five Dollar 5/10/25K. Early November is the perfect time of year for a long trail run in southeast Arkansas. On top of that, the entry fee is practically nothing! Come out and have a nice run, then enjoy a little snack and some swag from local sponsors. Contact the park for more information and race course maps.

Course Information:

The course is all over the trails of Cane Creek State Park. The race offers 5, 10 and 25K distances. All distances include 15-30% road. The trail system features numerous short ups and downs through the Gulf Coast Plain forest of south-central Arkansas. Fifty-two bridges add challenge to the park's 18+ miles of trail. The 25K will include 4.5 miles along the Cane Creek Lake levee. Be prepared for off-road trail running conditions. There will be one aid station for the 5K, two for the 10K, and 4 for the 25K.

Directions:

To reach Cane Creek State Park from Little Rock, AR, travel south on I-530 to Pine Bluff. Take the last exit off of I-530 onto Hwy 65/425 S. The signs will direct you to Lake Village/Monticello. Three miles south of Pine Bluff, turn left to follow Hwy 425 S. Hwy 425 S leads into Star City. Continue straight through the only stop light in town, and turn left on Hwy 293. Travel five miles and Cane Creek State Park's entrance is on the left.

To reach Cane Creek State Park from Monroe, LA, head north on Hwy 425 N. As soon as you enter Star City, look for Hwy 293 on your right. Turn right and travel 5 miles. Cane Creek State Park's entrance is on the left.

Other Info:

The idea behind the Five Dollar 5/10/25K is to showcase the beauty of Cane Creek State Park's trails in fall. The weather is perfect, the leaves are changing, and the views are astounding. The price is low, and there are three different running distances, so there's no reason not to come enjoy the race!
