Miracle Treats for Miracle Feet Triathlon : Kids Race |
Triathlon : Distance Determined By Age |
In 2003 Julius Thukral was born with bilateral clubfeet. At 7 days old we knew his life was going to stray from the norm. 24 sets of casts, 2 surgeries, countless hours of physical therapy and 9 years later, Julius achieved his dream of walking across that plaza at school on the first day of 3rd grade, 3 months after major surgery, unassisted. None of this would have been possible without the help and care of Gillettes Childrens Hospital.
Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals touch the lives of more children and their families than any other childrens charity. Whether they suffer from common childhood afflictions like asthma or broken bones, or fight bigger challenges like birth defects, cancer or like Julius, club feet, Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals provide comfort, treatment and hope to millions of sick kids, and their parents, each year.
Through the inspiration of Julius, and the support of Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals, Miracle Treats for Miracle Feet (MTMF) was established in 2011. We continue to honor Julius and his quest for that special walk with our Miracle Treats for Miracle Feet triathlon event. Someday we dream of this event being recognized at the national level raising millions of dollars for our local Childrens hospitals. The dream continues this summer:
