Description: 2010 Lake Logan Sprint Triathlon & Aquathlon:

The Lake Logan Sprint Triathlon part of the two-day Lake Logan Multi-Sport Festival coordinated by Glory Hound Events. The international distance race will be held on Saturday, August 7 and the new Lake Logan Sprint Triathlon will be held on Sunday, August 8. Sunday will also be the day of the 2010 Lake Logan Aquathlon. Lake Logan was the site of the 2009 USAT Aquathlon National Championships and we want to encourage the growth of this sport by continuing the race in 2010.

Course Info:
  • The Lake Logan Triathlon & Aquabike have quickly become among the most popular races in the Southeast.
  • Staged at the Lake Logan Episcopal Center, this is one of the most beautiful venues in the country. While most in the Southeast are racing in hot, oppressive conditions in early August, Lake Logan offers a welcome break from the heat and humidity. The cool morning air high in the Appalachian Mountains makes for a comfortable race day with highs last year topping out near 80 degrees.
  • Another welcome treat to those familiar with Western North Carolina is the strange absence of any major climbs. In fact the bike and run are mostly flat with only one small ascent coming at the beginning and end of the bike.
