Looking for a great metric century ride? Check out this friendly, low-key event in Mountain City, Tenn. the third annual Surviving the Snake 100K and 50K Bicycle Rides, set for Sept. 14 at 8 a.m. Benefits the Johnson County Community Hospital Foundation. Early registration is $40.
Course Information:
Route covers much of the famous stretch known as The Snake along Highway 421, popular for motorcyclists, and includes Watauga Lake, Shady Valley, Backbone Rock and Damascus, Va.
