The 2013 courses start on Washington Street - you just walk out of the Hyatt and you're at the start line.

Half Marathon Course Overview

You will begin your tour through the center of Indianapolis, passing by the home of the XLVI Super Bowl Lucas Oil Stadium enter the Citys Wholesale District where 19th Century commercial buildings have been turned into an entertainment zone. The area encompasses many sports venues, Circle Centre Mall, sports bars, hotels (including the Hyatt) and restaurants.

You will then continue your 13.1 mile tour around the Soldiers and Sailors Monument (Monument Circle), recognized as one of the worlds outstanding monuments.

The course then passes by the Indiana War Memorial Plaza District, the Old Northside District that includes many of the most beautiful, refurbished homes in the City. The tour continues on Fall Creek Boulevard North Drive, up to 38th Street, pass by the Indiana State Fair venue, then south on Pennsylvania Street back again through the Old Northside District to downtown Indy.

Back Downtown, the course will take you through the Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis campus (IUPUI), the I.U. Medical Center, then south on White River Parkway West Drive to New York Street, which will take you by the IU Michael Carroll Track Stadium. You will then turn south onto West Street and run by Victory Field across the White River, turn into the Indianapolis Zoo onto the Old Washington Street Bridge to the Finish Line, then onto the wide open grassy area of Celebration Plaza and Amphitheatre.

The Five Kilometer Course Overview

The 5K Start Line is located on Capitol Avenue and Maryland Street (Hyatt Regency Downtown Indianapolis). Your tour will take you north on Capitol Avenue to Indiana Avenue, then left on Michigan Street.

You will then turn left onto West Street, pass by Victory Field, the White River State Park, across the White River, then turn into the Indianapolis Zoo and finish on the White River State Park Old Washington Street Bridge, then onto the wide open grassy area of White River State Park Celebration Plaza and Amphitheatre to Party in Celebration Plaza.
