Join former contestants from The Biggest Loser and RunWalk along sandy beaches and the picturesque Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA. Come for the run, stay for the fun! The Biggest Loser RunWalk Erie Half Marathon/5K is part of Celebrate Erie, a four day street festival off the beach. Make a vacation, or at the very least a day out of this! Enjoy the post race festival, Taste of Erie, performances by famous musicians, fireworks, a two-block kids zone, crafts and the unbelievable Chalk Walk. Dont forget to bring the kids for their very own fun run (ages 4-12) sponsored by Kids Fit Foundation! We encourage all families to get their children active at a young age! Course Information:
For the safety of all participants, the following are prohibited: bicycles, in-line skates, skateboards and all motor-driven vehicles.
Portable toilets, fluid replacement and first aid will be available on the course. Certified medical personnel will be available at the start and finish areas of the race.
Participants have 5 hours to complete the half marathon (22 min/mile pace). The 5K participants have 1.5 hours to complete the course (30 min/mile pace). The course has a rolling street closure. If you fall behind this pace, the roads will be reopened to normal traffic and you will be a pedestrian and subject to normal traffic rules.
