We are proud to be the first Triathlon in the state of West Virginia. It takes place in the beautiful Monongahela National Forest with swimming in beautiful Summit Lake and biking and running through the scenic country side. The event actually starts the night before with a spaghetti dinner in Richwood, a chance to meet your fellow participants and pick up your race package.
Located within the Monongahela National Forest, this is one of America's most beautiful triathlons. The race begins at 10AM on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Summit Lake (located east of Richwood, WV off of Rt. 39/55) with a .5 mi. swim, followed by a 17.1 mi. cycle leg on the National Scenic By-way Rt. 39/55 and over challenging 9% grade Kennison Mountain. The race concludes with a 6.2 mi. run at the Cranberry Mt. Nature Center.
