Lace up your shoes, hop on your bike, or just come and learn about ways to be healthy at the Sharks Foundations inaugural Fitness Faceoff: Run/Ride/Health charity event presented by Silver Creek Sportsplex, which will be held on Sunday, Jun. 30, 2013. Participants can either choose to run/walk our 5k/10k course through downtown San Jose or set out on a 25/55 mile bike ride around the city.
Starting and finishing at HP Pavilion, the home of the San Jose Sharks, runners and riders will get to challenge themselves on our fun courses, all while raising money for the Sharks Foundation, the official charity arm of the team. The event also features a free Health Fest, which will showcase a variety of exhibits and vendors focused on living a healthy lifestyle.
Regardless of your experience or athletic ability, its sure to be a great day to get active, highlight the importance of being healthy and raise money for the Sharks Foundation.
The 5k and 10k course will wind through the streets of downtown San Jose. The 20+ mile route will be
flat and through the major streets of San Jose. The 55-mile route will be more
challenging and feature climbs of varying difficulty throughout the course. While
the route has been posted online, please note that it is subject to change.
The first 1,000 people to register are guaranteed to get a custom event t-shirt and one-of-a-kind "finishers" medal.
