The ultimate night race returns and the Elite teams go for 18 hours this time around at our annual Mid Summer Night's Classic.
Each year the haunting nocturnal eyes peer in on our adventurous racers as they do something their coworkers would never dream of. Their families think they are crazy. Every day people go on with their lives not even knowing it exists.
We call it Adventure Racing and we do it all the time. It's fun.
The conditions for the race last year could not have been any worse. The ten inches of rain that blanketed the area all week created many problems for everybody. Besides keeping their feet wet throughout, the flooded trails slowed everyone down and made the trails themselves hard to identify during the race.
Still our favorite freaks took on the challenge and did some really incredible adventure racing.
The Nocturnal Challenge AR the second part our 2013 Night Racing Series. Every year we go dark during July and August when day conditions are just too sweltering in Florida.
