Course Information:
- Swim is out and back in Lake Alvin start on the north shore.
- Bike is out and back on mostly smooth to rolling hills.
- Run is out and back on mostly smooth surface with one long gradual hill.
Directions:
- Lake Alvin is 10 miles southeast of Sioux Falls, go south on Highway 11 until you see the sign to lake Alvin which will be two miles east on Lincoln county road 110.
- Or Lake Alvin is 4 miles east of Harrisburg, SD.
Other Info:
The Dakotaman triathlon is the qualifying event for South Dakota residents, both male and
female, for the Best of the US race to be held later this summer.
Teams can compete, but all teams compete against each other regardless of makeup and can
be one or two persons.
Awards
1st, 2nd and 3rd place Best of the US medals for the first 3 South Dakota finsihers of each sex
1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for top three in each decade
1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for top three teams
female, for the Best of the US race to be held later this summer.
