2013 Beaches Fine Arts Sprint Triathlon Series:

The 27th annual Beaches Fine Arts Sprint Triathlon Series consists of three events in a brand new, beautiful course located at Naval Station Mayport, 15 miles from Jacksonville, FL.

The series is a great race for both the new and experienced triathlete.

The Sprint distance includes a .25 mile swim, 16.8 mile bike and 3.4 mile run.

Triathlon Race Course:

SWIM:

The swim course is a .25 point to point swim parallel to the beach with prevailing current and begins on the beach east of the Sea Otter Pavilion at Naval Station Mayport.

BIKE:

The bike course includes 2 loops of 8.4 miles each, totaling 16.8 miles and affords the participant an outstanding view of the naval base.

RUN:

The run course is an enjoyable course totaling 3.4 miles that winds the participant through quiet streets and nature trails.

Directions:

The Naval Station is located at the end of Mayport Road.

From the north:

Take I-95 South to the 9A exit. Get off on Atlantic Boulevard and drive east until you cross the Intracoastal Waterway.

After crossing the waterway, take the first exit on the right to Mayport Road.

Continue for approximately five miles.

You will enter the Naval Station through the main gate.

From the South:

Take I-95 North to J. Turner Butler Boulevard. Go east to the San Pablo exit and turn left.

Drive across Beach Boulevard, continuing to Atlantic Boulevard and turn right on to Atlantic at the light.

After crossing the Intercoastal waterway, take the first exit on the right to Mayport Road.

Continue for approximately five miles.

You will enter the Naval Station through the main gate.

From Interstate I-10 East:

Continue to I-95 South, exit at US Highway 90 (Beaches) until it splits into Atlantic Boulevard and Beach Boulevard. Take Atlantic Boulevard and turn right on to Atlantic at the light.

After crossing the Intercoastal waterway, take the first exit on the right to Mayport Road.

Continue for approximately five miles.

You will enter the Naval Station through the main gate.

The multisport races of Beaches Fine Arts Series are the major fundraising events for this nonprofit organization.
Because we believe in the power of the arts to affect all people in a unique and positive way, the mission of Beaches Fine Arts Series is to present free concerts and educational outreach programs for our community.

Top three overall winners will receive artwork donated by local artists.

Prizes to age group and special categories will be awarded three-deep.

No race day registration.

Packet pickup and late registration will be held during business hours at Trek Bicycle Store at 1313 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250
