2010 Historic McKinney Kiwanis Triathlon Race Course:
Sprint: 300 yard pool swim – 15.3 mile bike – 3.4 mile run
Maps:
Course Notes:
- The swim will be in a 25 yard indoor pool.
- The bike is on country roads with rolling hills. Each major intersection will be traffic controlled.
- The run course starts at McKinney High School & winds through new housing development north east of the high school, continuing through old McKinney, downtown square and end at Towne Lake.
- Aid stations will be located approximately every 1 mile. Each aid station is equipped with water and Gatorade.
The course officially closes at 11am for all participants. Transition will open at 5:30am.
Kids' Distances By Age Group:
7 – 10: 100 yard pool swim – 2.5 mile bike – 0.5mi run
11-14: 200 yard pool swim – 5 mile bike (2 loops) – 1mi run

The Historic McKinney Kiwanis Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event. All participants must be a current annual member of USAT or purchase a one day permit for $10 at packet pick up. Do not send USAT permit fee with entry fee.
All established USAT rules will be in effect and will be strictly enforced. You must show your USAT member card and your photo ID at packet pick up – no exceptions. Friends and family will not be allowed to pick up anyone’s packet. If you are an annual USAT member and do not bring your member card to packet pick up, you must buy a $10 one day membership. There are no more duplicate applications. USAT no longer allows the purchase of annual memberships at packet pick up.
Average temperature on race day: low 75 - high 95.
For safety reasons, Playtri reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.

- Age Group / Weight Class awards will be 3 deep for both Male and Female.
