2010 Lunatic Triathlon:

- Lunatic, the word to describe a person who has been affected by temporary insanity due to the cycles of the moon.
- Triathlon, the word to describe what people do either as a result, or as a cure for temporary insanity.
- The Lunatic Triathlon, three words to describe the most fun you will ever have doing a triathlon.
- The Lunatic Triathlon will be held Friday June 25th, 2010 at 10:00 pm. The moon will be 99% Full that night and will be high in the sky, illuminating your course as you begin your event in the city of Price Utah and travel throughout Carbon County.
- To help illuminate each athlete, and to increase the fun, participants will have glowstick for the wheels of their bike, their wrists and their shoes. Not only will traffic stop to pay attention to you as you compete, but so will the rest of the county.
- Bring the whole family and come out to enjoy a night full of moonlight, friends and fun.

Swim:

- The race leg will begin in the Price City Indoor Pool.
- Swimmers, upon registration, must submit the time it takes them to swim 350 meters.
- Swimmers will be lined up on the dock, according to their swim times, fastest first, and will begin the swim 10 seconds after the previous swimmer has begun.
Bike:
- After completing the 150 meters in the indoor pool, participants will exit the pool, travel roughly 100 feet to the outdoor pool and complete the remaining 200 meters under the light of the full moon.
- After exiting the pool athletes will be directed to the transition area where they will mount their bikes and bike 9 miles through Carbon County across freshly swept roads, finishing where they began at the transition area.
- Finally, athletes will begin their 3.1 mile run through well lit and controlled city streets ending where they began, amidst the cheers of family and friends in Price's Washington Park.
Directions:
- Price is located in the heart of beautiful Carbon ounty and is easily accessable by US Hwy 6.
