2010 Daytona Frogman Triathlon:
- The Daytona Frogman is a USAT sanctioned olympic distance triathlon, consisting of a 1500 meter ocean swim, 40K bike and a 10K run.
- In addition to the standard USAT age group categories, there will be categories for military and challenged athletes.
Course Information:
- At 7:00 am on the beach in Daytona Beach Shores, FL 800 triathletes will line the shore of the Atlantic ocean.
- After the beach entry they will swim 1500 meters in the Atlantic ocean, hit the bike for a 40K ride and finish with a 10K pavement run.
Directions:
- A1A, 2 miles north of Dunlawton Avenue.
- Next to the sponsoring hotel - The Shores Resort and Spa.
Other Info:
- This event is a fund raiser for the Naval Special Warfare foundation. 100% of net proceeds will be donated. This foundation helps the families or severely injured Navy Seals and SWCC's.
- An Expo will be available Saturday March 20, 2010. The triathlon is March 21, 2010. All packet pick ups and bike set up will be done Saturday only. This event is capped at 800. No race day registration.
- Commemorative finisher's metals and the title PLANK OWNER for all who finish.
- Navy demonstrations and inspirational speakers will be available during the expo.
