Welcome to the Undead 5K: The Zombie Apocalypse. A 5K run/walk like no other. Runners will traverse 5 kilometers of Zombie infested terrain. No worries, all the Zombies want to do is after eat your brains and feast on your flesh. Obstacles and challenges will be strewn about the course, making the Undead 5K even more horrifying. The object is to survive and cross the finish line with your "health" intact. Runners will be issued 3 flags to wear on a belt. The flags represent your "health". As long as you have one flag you are still alive". The object is to cross the finish line - anyway you can - with at least one flag and YOU HAVE SURVIVED! If the Zombies get your flags, well, your dead. You will have a chance to get another flag at one of our health stations or you can finish the race as part of the Undead. There will be two finish divisions, those who have survived and who will be eligible for age group awards, and the Undead, who will still get their time. ? All registrants receive a T-shirt, Finsher Medal, and entry to the post-race Zombie Jamboree complete with music, food and, of course, beer. Even the Zombies are welcome at the Zombie Jamboree. Minimum age to participate in the Undead 5K is 14 with a parental waiver. Please feel free to wear a costume of your choice. In deference to our Zombies, whose feelings are very sensitive, please do not wear a Zombie costume. The Undead 5K will start in waves, with the first wave starting at 4:00pm. Packet pickup begins at 2pm on October 26 at Kingswood Park.
