2013 Grand Haven Triathlon, Presented by Grand Haven Bone & Joint:

  • The 2013 Grand Haven Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned event that includes an Olympic distance triathlon, a Sprint distance triathlon and a Sprint distance duathlon.
  • Relay teams are also welcome for any of the events.
  • Family and friends are welcome to purchase a ticket to join the dinner and picnic.
  • A live band will also be performing during the post race picnic.

    • Course Information:


    SWIM:
  • Athletes will swim in Lake Michigan along the Grand Haven City Beach and State Park shoreline.
  • Water temps will vary between 60 and 73 degrees.
  • Wetsuits are allowed.

    BIKE:
  • Athletes will bike along the freshly paved roads past the beach, going out and back on scenic Lakeshore Drive.
  • Bike course is relatively flat with only 1 or 2 small hills.

    RUN:
  • The athletes will run along the scenic boardwalk in Grand Haven which goes along the waterfront in Grand Haven, past marinas and retail shops.

  • Grand Haven is located right on Lake Michigan about 20 minutes west of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
