2011 San Diego Triathlon: (this event has been postponed until 2011)

Triathlon returns home to beautiful San Diego, California with a brand new Olympic Distance Triathlon that will attract top professional and amateur athletes from around the globe.

The Inaugural San Diego Triathlon is set against the beautiful backdrop of Southern California, this race course will challenge competitors through the rolling hills and vistas of Mission Bay, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, and Clairemont.

Course Information:

The San Diego Triathlon race course is an Olympic Distance course with a slightly modified bike distance.

The course begins, transitions, and ends in the heart of Mission Bay at Ski Beach on beautiful Vacation Isle.

Directions:

The San Diego Triathlon festivities will take place in beautiful Mission Bay Park, San Diego, CA. Mission Bay Park is the largest man-made aquatic park in the country, consisting of 4,235 acres comprised of approximately 46% land and 54% water. Mission Bay has 27 miles of shoreline, 19 of which are sandy beaches.

The Inaugural San Diego Triathlon has been postponed until March of 2011.

The San Diego Triathlon will qualify the top 50 finishers for the 2011 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.
