Join the coolest, most visually spectacular, illuminated night 5K in Boise. BoGlow is short for Boise Glow and is a 5K fun run/walk, where we'll literally glow to promote awareness for Cushing's Disease! BoGlow is a truly unique 5K experience aimed at bringing the Boise community together for a fun event promoting good health. Come dressed up in your glow attire and join runners, joggers and walkers as we run from the Gene Harris Bandshell at Julia Davis Park along the Boise River Greenbelt and back. The run will start after sunset but you'll light up the course with glow sticks and lights while running or walking through black light tunnels, strobe lights, and more! Glow stick starter packs will be provided to all participants along with a race shirt! After the 5K, live and local music will be provided in the Bandshell and we will award top finishers for the best glow attire and costumes.

100% of net proceeds from this event will go to the Cushing's Support and Research Foundation (CSRF). The CSRF will dedicate a portion of the funds raised by the Boise Glow 5K for awareness efforts in the Treasure Valley. CSRF is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding research and educating the public and the medical community about Cushing's, a disease caused by endocrine tumors that is significantly under-diagnosed due to lack of awareness, but highly curable if caught early. Boise mayor, Dave Bieter, will proclaim the week of April 1, 2013 as Boise Cushing's Awareness Week to assist in this cause. We are confident that we will achieve our goal of making Boise, Idaho the most Cushing's-aware city in the world!

Course Information:

The route for this 5K will be on the paved paths and bridges of the beautiful Boise River Greenbelt system with a brief section along Walnut St. and Parkcenter Ave. Water stations and restrooms will be located at the bandshell area as well as around the course halfway point.
