In conjunction with Limas inaugural Warrior Mode Event, this challenge will test your endurance, skills and knowledge as teams will treks through parks, bike paths and streets of Lima, Ohio! First of its kind to Northwest Ohio, the Warrior Mode Urban Athlon consists of a 2-hour team challenge that is suitable for everyone from endurance athletes to weekend warriors.
Challenge Format: Teams shall consist of 3-6 members. Teams will be given a course map and a "passport" at the start of the challenge. Maps will have "destinations" or "check points" marked to navigate to. Each check point will be unique and may have a challenge, question or action for each team to earn points. The team that collects the most points the quickest within the 2-hour limit will be declared the winner. The challenge is suitable for all abilities from family teams to endurance athletes.
Headquartered at the Faurot Park pavilion on South Cole Street, the race will send racers through parks, along river walks, through neighborhoods and even downtown Lima in search of checkpoints. There will be "NO TRAVEL ZONES" explained at the time maps are handed out.
Race headquarters will be located in the Faurot Park shelter along South Cole Street, south of Lakewood Avenue.
This is a team challenge. Teams shall consist of 3-6 members. Divisions are as follows: MALE FEMALE COED FAMILY (at least one member must be 10 or younger) WARRIOR (at least one member with a physical disability)
Registrations before March 31 will guarantee a technical t-shirt and Warrior Mode wristband.
