Heroes Helping Heroes (HHH), a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and empowering orphans and vulnerable children in the Piedmont of North Carolina and Africa will host the Heroes Helping Heroes Pedal & Jam Festival, Saturday May 4th, 2013 at Jomeokee Music Park and Campground in Pinnacle, North Carolina. This event will consist of a bike ride and an outdoor festival and concert. For more event details, please visit our website www.heroeshelpingheroes.net
All profits from the days event will specifically support local HHH programs which consist of a monthly mentorship and a yearly summer camp program to at-risk, foster, and adopted children in the piedmont of NC free of charge. Over the course of the last three years, these programs have served 110 different Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin County children, providing them with safe and nurturing environments in which they can grow spiritually and emotionally.
An estimated 14.2 million children in the United States have been identified by the US Census Bureau as meeting criteria that would classify them as at-risk. In North Carolina, over 8,600 children are currently placed in foster care. Additionally, over 140 million babies and children worldwide are orphans.
Thank you so much for your consideration. We thank you in advance and covet your prayers so that the children we serve will continue to receive the mentoring, support, guidance and love we gladly provide.
