This is the 3rd annual all-female triathlon designed to raise awareness about early detection of breast cancer, research into eradicating the disease, recognizing the survivors and those living with breast cancer, and remembering those who have been lost to this terrible disease. The proceeds from the event are donated to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research of the OSU Wexner Medical Center James Cancer hospital.
The past two years, the event has contributed several thousand dollars to the Stefanie Spielman fund through participation in this triathlon.
