FitFest is an all-day health and fitness celebration to kick off the YMCAs Annual Campaign at the downtown Cincinnati Central Parkway branch on Thursday March 7th, 2013. All are welcome regardless of membership at the Y!
Events include an Indoor Triathlon, 3-on-3 basketball and dodgeball tournaments, racquetball and table tennis tournaments, free health screenings and fitness testing, free yoga and Zumba classes, and healthy foods and nutrition workshops.
Teams of 1, 2, or 3 people will complete a 10-minute swim, 15-minute bike ride, and 15-minute run. Even if you dont consider yourself an endurance athlete, you can definitely participate and have fun! You dont need to complete all three legs of the swim, run, and biking race yourselfhave a friend or two complete the portions with which youre less comfortable.
The schedule should also accommodate most entrants. Each participant can complete their portion(s) of the event in any session. Teams need not be present all at once to enter.
There will be two sessions: lunch (11-1) and evening (5:30-7:30). During registration, you will indicate your preferred session and whether you would like an early or late heat within that time slot. We will try to honor those requests, but in case we cannot due to the number of entrants, please make sure your schedule is open for any start time during the two hour session for which you register!
