2013 Camp Courageous Sprint Triathlon Presented by Transamerica:
Camp Courageous is a year-round respite care and recreational facility for individuals of all ages with disabilities. Campers come from all over the country! The camp is not-for-profit organization and all proceeds from the Camp Courageous Sprint Triathlon will be to benefit the Camp.
This is the 4th Year for the Camp Courageous Sprint Triathlon Presented by Transamerica. Each year, the race just gets better and better! The highlight this year will be the lake swim that will be held on the property at Lake Todd!
We hope that you will join us on Sunday, August 4th for a great triathlon race experience at a wonderful facility that strives to bring happiness to the lives of all!
Camp Courageous... "because we are more alike than we are different"
SWIM-500 yards In 2013, the swim will be held at newly constructed Lake Todd, located on the Camp Courageous property.
BIKE-15.5 miles the 2013 course will be the same as 2012 which is a 15.5 mile out-and-back course. Bikers will depart from Camp Courageous to Highway 38, South to Scotch Grove, turn east on to County Road E17 ride to the turn around point and return on the same course to the transition area located at Camp Courageous.
RUN-2.5 miles the run course will be similar to the 2012 route. It includes running through beautiful Pictured Rocks Camp, Pictured Rocks State Park, and finishes in the heart of Camp Courageous surrounded by beautiful pine trees!
Camp Courageous is located at 12007 190th Street which is southeast of Monticello, just off of Highway 38.
