Turtle Crawl Sprint Triathlon :
Triathlon : Swim 750 Meters, Bike 14 Miles, Run 3.1 Miles
Turtle Crawl 5K :
Running : Run 3.1 Miles

2013 Turtle Crawl Triathlon:

The 11h Annual Turtle Crawl Triathlon will take place on Jekyll Island, Georgia.

Benefiting the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, the Turtle Crawl features an Olympic and Sprint Distance Triathlons.

The Turtle Crawl is know to be an easy race with generally flat surfaces adjacent to Jekyll Island's beautiful beaches and natural backdrops.

Families of participating athletes are invited to attend.

Kids can enjoy Nest Fest activities provided by the Georgia Sea Turtle Center and the race culminates with the release of a rehabilitated sea turtle from the Georgia Sea Turtle Center.

Course Information:

All course are flat and very fast

Olympic:

The race takes place on historic Jekyll Island, Georgia.

Jekyll Island is a great place for destination triathlon and is one of the fastest olympic courses in Georgia.

Ocean swim.

Paved surface run and bike - - - Sprint:

Sprint tri is very fast - great first timer event.

Time start on the swim followed by a one loop bike and out and back run that are both very flat. - - -

Directions:

Located between Savannah and Jacksonville, Jekyll Island is convenient to Interstate-95. To get to the island on I-95, take Exit 29 and follow the signs east on U.S. 17 for approximately 6 miles. Turn right onto the Downing Musgrove Causeway (Ga-520). Be sure to stop at the Jekyll Island Guest Information Center, located about 4 miles down the Causeway, on the left. Travel through the Guest Information Center and Plaza onto Jekyll after paying your Parking Fee, then begin your escape to Jekyll Island!
