2013 CINCO OR SWIM LAKE THUNDERBIRD SPLASH-N-DASH:
The inaugural 'Cinco or Swim' Splash n Dash will be held at Zoom Beach, Lake Thunderbird State Park, Norman, Oklahoma on May 5th 2013.
Start time 10:30am CST.
The course will be a 500m open water swim followed by a 2 mile run on flat asphalt.
This is a USAT sanctioned event.

Course Info:

The inaugural ‘Lake Thunderbird Splash and Dash’ will take place at Zoom Beach, Lake Thunderbird, Oklahoma. It will consist of a 500metre clockwise lake swim and a 2 mile run.
Swim Course:
The 500m swim course will have an ‘in-water’ start.
The course, (marked in red on the map) is a clockwise loop.
The water temperature on race day will make this a wetsuit legal swim.
Run Course:
The run course is a flat 2 miles consisting of two out-and-back loops each of 1 mile.
Water and Gatorade will be provided at the 1 mile mark and at the finish.
The race finish will be near transition.
The run course is along a private road that only services the two pavilions on Zoom Beach. It will be open to traffic but only to those who have booked the pavilions, ie: traffic will be very light.
Once runners turn right however, they will be on the road that provides access to the Hog Creek ramp and picnic area, which will be busier.
The road will be coned and marshaled to ensure the safety of the athletes.
