The event is centered on Greenvilles beautiful Baldwin Lake and features a unique spectator experience from an elevated viewpoint above the lake and transition area on and along the Fred Meijer Flat River Trail.

This is a small venue and the field is limited to 400 adult participants and another 400 youth participants.

Course Information:

Swim:

The swim will start and end at Baldwin Lake beach and will follow a course around inflatable buoys for each age group. Baldwin Lake is a relatively shallow lake that is well suited for the early season. It generally warms quickly and is expected to be between 65 and 70 by Memorial Day. The swim could easily be completed without a wetsuit. The adult course will be a 1/4 mile loop, the U-15 course is a 200 meter loop and the U-10 course is 100 meters in shallow water, the length of the beach.

Bike (Adult)

The 11.8-mile bike course will be on public roads that are open to traffic. It will proceed on shoulders, where available, and does not require any crossing of traffic. Bikes will generally have the right of way with only several exceptions where there will be police assistance in addition to traffic control measures. The course is short but hilly. The final approach to the lake is a steep descent that will require brakes to be in good working order.

Bike (U-15)

The 3.75-mile U-15 bike course will follow some open, public roads, but also paved trail and roads closed to traffic. Traffic control and police assistance will be available on the open portions of the roadway. The terrain includes two short, modest climbs and descents, but is otherwise a generally level course.

Bike (U-10)

The 2.2-mile U-10 course will be one loop around Baldwin Lake on paved road that will be closed to traffic. The terrain is nearly level for the entire course.

Run (Adult)

The 3.1-mile run follows a loop around Baldwin Lake with an intermediate out-and-back on paved, relatively flat roads. Spectators can view 12 mile of the run from across the lake.

Run (U-15)

The 2.2-mile run is a loop around Baldwin Lake on paved road that will be closed to traffic. The terrain is nearly level for the entire course. Spectators can view 12 mile of the run from across the lake.

Run (U-10)

The 1/2-mile run will be an out-and-back and may include some slight hills and varying running surfaces.
