Swim takes place in Sherando Lake followed by a run/hike. Racers climb to the top of Torry Ridge Trail, proceed along the ridge-line then run back down the mountain. May event is an XTERRA Championship Points Race

The midnight start under the Natural Bridge leads to an overnight mountain marathon to get racers warmed up for the ensuing paddling, whitewater swimming, biking, trekking and climbing to the finish line.
