Run 4.2 miles, Bike 14 Miles, Swim ½ mile

    Course Info: Reverse Sprint Triathlon
  • Run: 4.2 Miles on shaded, paved road. Out and back with gradual incline on first half.
  • Bike: 14 miles on paved road, rolling hills, a few sharp turns. One mile start and finish on city streets.
  • Swim: 36 lengths in the YMCA pool. Team swimmers must swim prior to the event on Friday evening anytime from 4:30-6:30pm. Team swim times are added to the run bike times.

  • 500 meter open water swim. Time trail start with chip timing.
  • Out & back 14 mile bike course with some rolling hills.
  • 3.1 mile flat running course.
    More: Packet pick-up only on Sat. July 8, 2006 1:30-4pm. Mandatory pre-race meetings also on Sat. July 8. Parking will be in Lot C of Frontier Park which is on west side of Carey, just opposite of South Lions Park drive.
    Directions To Race: From CO. take I-25 North to Cheyenne, WY. Stay on I-25 & take Central Ave exit heading east. Stay in right lane for about 1/2 mile. Turn right on Kennedy. If you come to 3 way intersection, you just missed Kennedy. Stay on Kennedy for 1 block, then turn left on Carey. Stay on Carey for 1/4 mile and turn left on South Lions Park Drive.

    Price: 14 & under or 60 & over-$20, Active Duty Military-$15, 15 to 59-$25
    Course Info: Runners from across the United States come to challenge themselves in the 5K, 10K walk/run and the 15K Absaroka Challenge. You will be able to enjoy the breath taking views of the Rocky Mountains in the 5K and 10K races. While advanced runners continue up the mountain to compete in the 15K race. This race concludes with a 1000 foot descent down the side of the mountain face. This race has been chosen to be part of the Trophy Series, which is sponsored by Trail Runners Magazine and is known to be a must attend event.
