    Course Info: A new addition to the 2006 Virginia Triathlon Series the Luray Triathlons take place at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A beautiful mountain lake awaits you for the swim with a 750 meter swim course that the International athletes will do twice and the Sprint athletes will do once. The bike is rolling on great road surfaces. The run course is a 5K loop with 1.5 miles on a well maintained trail and the other 1.5 on pavement.

  • Swim: 400 meter pool "snake" swim (50 meter pool), entrants start one at a time, up and down lane 1, under the lane, repeat lane 2 until you swim up and down 4 lanes for a total of 400 meters. Swimmers will be seeded based on expected finish time. Swimmers will start at 10 second intervals. You can change your seed time until 9 p.m on October 7; please e-mail RMS with your name and updated time If you don't provide a seed time by October 7 @ 9 p.m, you will start after the last seeded swimmer according to your bib number.
  • Bike: Rolling to flat, with one descent and one good climb. Starts out heading west on Robious, out and back on James River Rd to the landing, back on Robious heading west, left on Winterfield, left on Salisbury Rd, then right on Robious heading back to ACAC Fitness Center.
  • Run: Very flat out and back loop into the neighboring communities.
