Saturday April 15, 2006 ::: Madison, South Dakota:
The Community Center Triathlon - (f.k.a. Get ready for the season Sprint Triathlon)
- Swim 500 yards, Bike 9 miles, Run 2.25 miles
- Start Time: 8:00 AM
- Location: The Community Center 500 NE 11th Street

- Course Info: Swim: 500yd swim (pool), Bike: 9-mile Run: 2.25 mile
- Swim 10 laps in a 25 yd indoor pool
- Ride bike on paved rode
- Run on gravel
- The start and finish will be at The Community Center as well as both transistion areas. Makes it great for spectators and personal property security.
- Directions To Race: The Community Center 500 NE 11th Street
- Highway 34 into Madison from the east follow Washington Ave (hyway 34) North past the 4 way stop. You will go by Washington Elem School - Dakota State Campus - Madison Hospital. There will be another 4 way stop - continue north for one long block we are on the northeast corner and you will see the glass windows of our pool area.
- From the West turn north at the 4 way stop (Pizza Ranch is on the corner)travel north until you reach 9th street. (last street before you go leave town) turn east(right) on 9th go until you reach Washington Ave (4 way stop by hospital) turn north (left) go one long block we are on the north east corner.
- From the north -turn east (left) on 9th street go to the 4 way stop by the hospital turn north (left) drive one long block -we are on the northeast corner.

Saturday, June 10, 2006 ::: Lake Poinsett, South Dakota: Living Waters International Distance Triathlon
- Swim ¾ mile, Bike 19 miles, Run 5 miles
- Start Time Registration: 7:00 am Race Starts at 8:00 am
- Location: Living Waters Retreat Center, Lake Poinsett, SD

- Price: $35.00 per person, $45.00 per team
- Course Info: Enjoy a challenging course at Lake Poinsett, by Estelline, SD. The course will start and finish at the Living Waters Methodist Retreat Center. Ham Radio operators are stationed around the course for support.
- 3/4 mile swim: Stay on outside of buoys down, inside of buoys back.
- 19 mile bike: Bike racks will be available. Please remember to bring a bucket and towel to wipe off your feet. Ham radio operators will be stationed at all major intersectins. All competitors must wear a helmet. No water stops on the bike course - take a bottle with you!
- 4 mile run: CHALLENGING and HILLY! Follow cones and road markings. Water stations will be available throughout the run.

Lake Poinsett is in eastern South Dakota, south of Watertown, west of Estelline, and northwest of Brookings
Saturday, June 17, 2006 ::: Lake Alvin, South Dakota: DakotaMan Triathlon
- Swim 600 yards, Bike 16 miles, Run 3.5 miles
- Start Time: 8:30 a.m. (Registration 7:00 a.m.)
- Location: North shore of Lake Alvin, 4 miles east of Harrisburg, SD
- Course Info: Swim is out and back in Lake Alvin, tranisition area is in lower parking lot, bike is south (out and back) on blacktop road with rolling hills, the run is north on blacktop road-mostly flat
- More: A $3 per person pass or $5 per car will be needed to enter the Lake Alvin Park area or a SD parks pass will let you in free. The upper parking lot will be for parking.
- AWARDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for male and female for each decade. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for relay teams co-ed, all male and all female. 1st place plaques for overall male and female winners.
- This race is South Dakota's qualifying race for the "BEST OF THE US" First place South Dakota male and female finishers will qualify for the National race to be held in Minnetonka, Minnesota in August
- Directions To Race: 4 miles east of Harrisburg on Lincoln county road 110 or 9 miles southeast of Sioux Falls on highway 11 until you see the sign for Lake Alvin that says 2 miles east

- Location: Starts at Lake Eureka Beach Area

- Long course for individuals and teams: lake swim 1/2 mile, bike on blacktop road surface 24 miles, and run asphalt 6 miles.
- Short course for individuals and teams: swim 1/4 mile, bike 12 miles, and run 3 miles.

Rapid City Triathlon
- Swim 800 meters, Bike 13.7 miles, Run 3.1 miles
- Location: Horace Mann Pool

- Course Info: 800 meter pool swim, 22K road bike and 5K run
- Swim 800 meters in a 50 meter long pool with a great view of the Black Hills.
- Transition to a 22K bike that heads north out of Rapid City along a rolling country road.
- Back to the pool to run down to Rapid City's bike path which follows along Rapid Creek to finish at the band shell for awards and picnic.

- Swim ¼ mile, Bike 14 miles, Run 3.1 miles
- Start Time: Registration: 7:00 am Race starts 8:00 am

- Bikers will enjoy the scenery around beautiful Lake Kampeska.
- Run is 3.1 miles out to the golf course and back. A water station will be positioned at the turn around for the run. Lake Area Radio Club will be positioned around the lake for support.

- Course Info: The course features a 1000m swim, 22k mountain bike and an 8k run. The swim is a spectator-friendly, two-lap course, with a short exit between laps, at scenic Ironcreek Lake. The ride climbs from Ironcreek Lake up to the Old Baldy trail system in the Black Hills National Forest. The ride is entirely within forested areas, so bring your technical skills and expect lots of single-track. After descending back to Ironcreek Lake, the race goes to a challenging two-lap run around the lake, where spectators cheer on the racers as they tackle difficult hike sections on each lap of the run

- More: Male and Female individual age divisions as well as 3 person Team divisions (combined >100 and <100). Many other events and attractions in the Chamberlain-Oacoma area including Old West Trading Post Flea Market, boat/jet ski rentals at Cedar Shore, Akta Lakota Museum, I-90 Interpretive Center, Roam Free Park, SD Hall of Fame and of course great fishing, hiking, shopping, and dining.
