The Bike Course is a deceptively fast out and back course with several short steep climbs and a 5 mile gradual climb to the top of Iron Mountain from both directions. The first and last 20 miles contain several climbs and fast descents. From mile 20 - 35 it's fast and flat. For the most part if there is any wind you will be shielded from it by the trees. Most of the bike course travels through uninhabited timber land in the foot hills of the Ouachita (Wash-she-ta) Mountains If you take a few seconds along the way you will see some absolutely beautiful vistas.
• Aid Stations are at the following locations: 8 miles, 14 miles, 23 miles, 33miles, 42 miles and 47 miles.
- Run: The course is two loops of a tree lined route. Between 11pm and 2pm there will be very little shade.
