It is considered to be the favorite drug of all times and sometimes, it seems to bring no health issues when occasionally drinking it. However, drinking coffee must be analyzed from two main aspects. If you drink no more than one cup of coffee a day, and make sure it’s high quality, organic and fresh, and also, you are able to go a day without consuming it, then, this article is not for you. You can simply enjoy it while knowing the potential benefits this type of coffee, drank once a day brings to you. We all know how powerful caffeine can be for our brain. It works as a strong stimulant which may be considered as a good thing. Especially when you want to increase the alertness and focus in the early morning. But, if you have already sleeping problems and high levels of stress, coffee can only worsen your situation. It is proved to cause insomnia and disturbed sleep. People, who are already dealing with depression and anxiety issues, should not drink coffee. Or at least no more than a cup per day. The caffeine has the power to magnify these symptoms as a result of increased brain activity.

 

 

Coffee can potentially cause miscarriages and impair fetal development

 

Experts always recommend that expecting moms should not drink more than a cup of coffee per day. Due to its stimulant effects, caffeine can make a mother be in risk for a premature delivery. Also, in risk of impair fetal development. This is an announcement made by ACOG in a press release in 2010. They also suggested that expecting mothers should not get more than 200 mg caffeine per day. (Including coffee, chocolate, tea and other drinks containing caffeine).

 

 

It can cause ulcers

 

Many acids found in coffee beans, and also, caffeine, can potentially irritate your stomach. Coffee is already prohibited for all of them who suffer from ulcers, gastritis and Crohn’s disease. Eliminating coffee completely is a must for this category of people. Ulcers are believed to be caused by the Helicobacter pylori bacteria. But, is the acidic effect that coffee contains the one that contributes to providing the weakened stomach lining that is necessary for Helicobacter pylori to take hold initially.

 

 

Coffee can potentially increase hypertension and heart attack chances

 

Even though there are many studies indicating that coffee is not linked to any heart related problems, there are also some recent ones which indicate quite the opposite. Coffee can potentially raise blood pressure. That is why many people suffering from heart related problems are not allowed to consume coffee due to its effect on blood pressure.
