2014 Salem Summer Sprint Triathlon:
This race is great for beginners and intermediate racers. The swim is a pool swim. The bike is flat and fast. There will be medals for all finishers. The adult races will have trophies for top three men and women. The teams will have trophies for top three places. The child and youth races will have trophies for top three places in each age group.
Weather contingency plan: If there is lighting or a significant amount of rain, the race will be delayed. If the weather does not clear up in a reasonable amount of time, the race will be cancelled. There are no refunds for a cancelled race due to weather.
Course Information:
Pool swim.
Bike and Run are fairly flat, with few hills.
Directions:
Salem, IL is located at the intersection of Interstate 57 and Highway 50.
Once in Salem you will travel to Highway 37 and go north.
The Aquatic Center is located across from the High School, behind the tennis courts and skate park (roughly 1 mile from the intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 37.
