2014 Ozark Valley Triathlon:
An international distance triathlon held at Lake Wedington Recreation Park just 15 minutes from Fayetteville. The park is one of the most natural settings for a triathlon and is very spectator friendly. Great awards, post-race food, prizes and lots of activities for families make this a must-do triathlon.
Course Information:
Swim - 1,00 yards
The swim will take place inside the park in the very clean and clear Wedington lake. Swim course is a point to point. One single transition area.
Bike - 19 miles
The bike course has smooth, fast pavement on lightly traveled paved roads with flat and rolling terrain. Expect one fairly significant climb.
Run - 4 miles
The run course is completely inside the park. It is a two-loop course on paved roads with a very tough hill on each lap, but with the remainder of the course on rolling, partially shaded terrain.
