2014 Saint Mary's University Row Ride Run:
The race with a cause, Row Ride Run, will test your physical abilities in a paddle, a bike, and a run through the gorgeous bluffs of the driftless region unique to Southeastern Minnesota.
This sprint race is for the beginner intimidated by the swimming of traditional triathlons all the way up to the expert triathlete who is looking for an affordable warm up race.
All proceeds go directly to students who are in need of scholarships for alternative break trips. We served communities in 12 states and 2 nations accumulating to over 10,000 hours of service.

Canoe/Kayak Course
2.5-mile loop around Lake Winona, starting at the west end of the lake
Bike Course
14 miles of paved path beginning at Lake Winona, following highways 61 and 43 to Gilmore Valley Road and ending on the Saint Mary's campus
Run Course
3.1 miles of trail through the bluffs surrounding the Saint Mary's campus

Age Requirement
Participants must meet the following age requirements:
- Rower must be 10 years of age or older
- Rider must be 15 years of age or older
- Runner must be 10 years of age or older
Severe Weather Policy
The race will take place rain or shine. In the event of severe weather (i.e., lightning or tornado), the Row Ride Run Committee will:
- postpone the race for up to 1 hour (the decision to postpone will be made no sooner than 10 minutes prior to the original start time),
- cancel the race if severe weather does not pass and the 1-hour delay period expires, and
- not provide refunds if the race is canceled due to severe weather.
Logistics
The race will begin at the Lake Winona Lodge, East Lake Winona, Winona, MN. The Lake Lodge will also be the transition area for canoe/kayak to bike. The bike to run transition area will be located at the Saint Mary's University Gazebo, located 100 yeards down the main campus entrance road on the right. Shuttles will be provided to racers for set-up and transportation after the race.
There are a limited number of canoe/kayak rentals provided by Saint Mary's University. Please register early if you are in need of a rental through us. If you register for a canoe/kayak and we run out, your registration fees will be refunded IF your participation is contingent on us providing the canoe/kayak.
Refund Policy
Refunds will not be given due to injuries, illness, scheduling conflicts or inclement weather.
Awards
Prizes will be given to the fastest male and female individual particpant. The fastest team entry will also be awarded. Gifts from sponsors will be randomly handed out to participants after all racers have finished at the Gazebo located on the Saint Mary's campus.
