Born from the 2012 Zero Edition, the event Varano Lake Tri is a triathlon event at its second official edition, an annual event created to enhance the Gargano area around Varano Lake combining the sports, nature and local traditions.

Paths with unique landscapes, the hospitality of the local people and strong traditions still intact will frame 112.9 Triathlon.

Leading Actor is the VaranoLake and the spectacular land on the border of the most popular places of the Gargano Promontory.

The lake is surrounded for three quarters of its extension from olive tree cultivation, while a long spit of land crossed by the highway 89 makes for a quarter bordering the Adriatic Sea. (Read More...)

VLTri 113k RACE COURSE:
-Swim: 1900 mt. organized in 2 laps of about 950mt well signalled by high visibility balises

-Alternative Swim Course: -ONLY IN CASE OF BAD SEA CONDITIONS, ACCORDING WITH THE NAVIGATION AUTHORITY- 1900 mt. designed in 1,5 laps in the channel that links Seaside and Lake Varano. Water in the channel is always clean and constantly monitored by the sanitary department, anyway no pollution area is located in this region. A very-small current is present.

-Bike course: New path of about 95 km, designed to solve some bad asphalt conditions and traffic management around Lake Varano touching Lake Lesina and Umbra Forrest. Elevation : 1131mt ascent

-Run course: 21 km composed by 5 laps of 4,12 km + 600 final meters. Chemical WC are installed on the course
