2014 Cooperstown Sprint Triathlon:
- Once again, ATC Endurance is sponsoring the Cooperstown Sprint Triathlon on May 25th 2014.
- Individuals and teams are encouraged to enter soon, this race was close to a sell out last year and we anticipate possibly selling out all of the spots this year for the largest field at the Cooperstown Triathlon yet!
- The race begins with an 800 meter swim in beautiful (and ice-free since March) Otsego Lake.
- It is followed by an 12.2 mile bike ride through the rolling hills and beautiful countryside.
- The race finished with a 3.0mi run which takes place on the roads of Cooperstown.
- The race itself promises to be an instant classic. With the picturesque village, Baseball Hall of Fame, local attractions, beautiful course, Tech T-shirts, and oh yeah, Brewery Ommegang as a beverage sponsor, you may even forget you came for a triathlon!
Course Information:
Swim:
- A calm, but chilly Lake Otsego awaits competitors for the 2014 half mile swim.
- Athletes will enter the water in small waves to swim a long, clockwise, rectangular swim.
Bike:
- Once out of the water, cyclists will encounter a mix of rural and village roads with lots of fun twists and turns, and even some great rolling hills.
Run:
- The run features an out and back style course with a great finish at Lakefront Park.
- Join us at the Yum Yum Shack for a post race party with free Ommegang!
