«Good read»
The book is an easy read and author does a great job at telling his professional career as he goes from chapter to chapter. Along the way he throws in the how to's to of building up to the marathon distance. I felt it was a beginner book with some advice for the advanced runner. The reading is good to follow because of his story and how he trained. How complete it is? Well, depends on if your looking for training programs, which there are a couple in the back of the book with standard stretching routine provided, but if your looking for in depth programs you won't find them here. A great supplement to other first marathon running books but overall not the "complete" guide.
Overall, I liked the book and it's amazing to see how fast these guys can run, in training or in races.

«Good, easy read, can't be the only one though»
This book was good in the sense it was easy to read, and offered good advice. The perspective of the elite athlete (The author) was interesting and enlightening. The training plans are detailed and the book is quick and easy to read. I wouldn't recommend this be the only book you read to prepare for a marathon, but it is a good compliment to other books while your training, to help keep you focused.
