Lisa coaches all levels of athletes, from true beginners to professionals. Lisa's special talent is personally connecting with the athletes she works with. She is skilled in constructing tailored training programs for her athletes that helps them achieve their short and long term goals.

As coaching is an art, Lisa is a skilled master of program development that fits almost any ability level and/or time constraint.

Lisa coaches cyclists and triathletes predominately.  She also coaches age-group swimming, master swimming, track and field and distance running (5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon training plans)

Specialization:
I coach all events in triathloning including IM, 70.3, Oylmpic and Sprint.  I also coach Aquabike athletes.  If your interest is in swimming, bike or running individually, I offer coaching services for each sport individually.

Lisa has been competing in triathlons for 20 years, including over 200 races on the domestic and international circuits. Lisa has competed for Team USA and has been a USAT All-American and Regional Elite for many years.

Lisa started her athletic career as a highly accomplished swimmer and added running to train with her dad as a teenager. Running took Lisa to the pinnacle of NCAA distance running competition during her four years at the University of Louisiana at Monroe were she earned a BS in Health & Physical Education/Biology and a Master degree in Exercise Science/Counseling. Lisa began coaching age-group and master swimmers and runners professionally in 1989. After earning a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology in 1993 at the University of Southern Mississippi, she added triathlete coaching to her offerings and has been doing so ever since.

Lisa is a Professor in Exercise Physiology at ULM. She was the Director of The Summit of Strength & Conditioning and Sport Medicine Leaders, where Coach Troy was a keynote speaker and conducted a one day clinic (including a Spinervals session and pool stroke instruction) in Louisiana.

In order for Lisa to offer her services, expertise and responsive coaching, she requires a commitment from the athlete to have a heart rate monitor within the first 2 months of signing a coaching contract. Metabolic testing and a bicycle power meter are not required but will help YOU achieve maximal results that you, as the client, will be pleased with. Lisa looks forward to helping you move your training from routine to high achieving.
