Heart Zones Coaching, Trek Women’s Sprint 8 Week Triathlon Training
May 14th - July 10 (Race Day)
Group meets Saturdays at 7:30am - 9:30am, various locations around the Madison area
Kickoff meeting Saturday May 7th at Berkeley Running Company
This group is for women who have some familiarity with triathlon or endurance events. Participants in the group will improve their skills by following a daily training schedule designed as an 8 week progression to race day (the Trek Women’s Sprint Triathlon in Pleasant Prairie, WI). Individual workouts will be based on Heart Rate assessments and Sally Edwards’ HeartZones methodology for the most effective training. The team will meet on a weekly basis for a coached workout to get detailed feedback on technique and practice other aspects of triathlon training (bike maintenance, mental preparation, smooth transitions, etc). Some experience with running, biking and/or swimming is necessary, although all levels are welcome.
